Intro: The Glabra Lutescens "Ulmus" is a large spreading tree, which is tolerant to air pollution and wind. This is frequently used in larger gardens, parks or on farms as the root system is invasive. It is susceptible to Elm leaf beetle.
Foliage: The leaves are pale green in spring, turning to yellow and then gold in Autumn.
Soil: Suitable to most soil conditions. The soil should be well drained and needs to be kept moist until the tree is well established. Maintenance: Fertilise when planting and with new growth. The Ulmus can be pruned to a desired shape.
