Intro: A great addition to any garden, the Acer Palmatum is a medium sized tree with vibrant foliage. Maples like a cooler climate and will produce more vivid colours particularly when frosts occur.
Foliage: Small fine leaves which are extremely lobed. The leaves are bright green in summer, changing in Autumn to yellow, oranges and reds.
Soil: Plant in well drained and well worked soil. Maintenance: The maple likes to be well watered and mulched. Fertalise when planting and again with new growth. You can prune your maple which will encourage new growth.
