Intro: The London Plane is a very large, very hardy tree that is grown world wide. This tree has ornamental bark of mottled grey's and fawns that peel off in winter. This is a fantastic shade tree, and is identifiable as street and park plantings.

Foliage: Large green leaves with a similar shape to the maple tree. During autumn the leaves change to gold and brown.

Soil: Well drained soil. The bud union must be planted above the soil level. These trees need to be watered in well,and the soil kept moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again with new growth. Prune to shape if required in the winter months
