This upright slender tree is ideal for medium sized gardens, lining driveways or streets and will suit most smaller landscape areas. This is a disease resistant variety that is tolerant to most soil types and air pollution.
Foliage: Green leaves throughout spring and summer, however the Autumn leaf is varied with orange, red and purple leaves.
Flowers: In the springtime, the Capital pear is covered in single white flowers.
Soil: Well drained and well worked soil
Maintenance: Well drained and well worked soil with the bud union planted above the soil level. You must water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is well established. We recommend fertilizing when planting and again with new growth. To encourage new growth you should prune the tree.
