Intro: The bradford pear is a deciduous tree that blossoms in Spring and has strong Autumn Colour. It is a good choice for street planting, medium to large size gardens.
Foliage: The leaves are dark green and glossy, changing to orange, red and burgandy in Autumn. The leaves have a longer life on the tree then most other trees. There are clusters of white flowers in the spring.
Soil: Well drained and well worked soil
Maintenance: You must plant the bud union above soil level and water in well. We recommend you keep the soil moist until the tree is well established. Fertalise on planting and again with new growth. To encourage new growth you can prune this tree.
