Intro: This deciduous tree, known as the snow pear is an attractive ornamental tree with high growing branches, spring blossoms and Autumn colour. It is best suited to medium gardens, parks, avenue planting and street tree's.
Foliage: This tree has distinct grey coloured leaves that appear white and woolly which mature to silvery green leaves. In Autumn the foliage is a colourful yellow.
Flowers: Pretty white flowers that grow in clusters during the spring time
Soil: Tolerant to most soil types, however the soil must be well drained and well worked.
Maintenance: The bud union must be planted above the soil level and watered in well. We recommend you keep the soil moist until the tree is well established. You should fertalise on planting and again with new growth. To encourage new growth, we suggest pruning the tree. In the hot summer months, you can use mulch to keep the soil moist.
