Intro: The Maple Palmatum is a great feature tree for a small space.
Foliage: It has purple - red leaves in spring, which become a deep reddish / green over the summer months. Autumn leaves are vibrant red.
Soil: Well drained and well worked soil is best
Maintenance: The bud union must be planted above the soil level. You will need to water this one in well and maintain moisture in the soil until the tree is well established. Fertilize when planting and again with new growth. You can prune to shape if required.
